While out with my husband one day, I stumbled upon some pretty acrylic blocks. I was mesmerized by the beautiful colors, but I had no clue what they were for. I asked my husband, who informed me that people make pens with them. Pens? Seriously? Huh. He told me to look online and watch some videos, so I did. I was hooked! I loved the way the artists coaxed the rectangular pieces of wood and acrylic into becoming the smooth, polished pens that would soon become my obsession. I worked on my new craft for hours every day, learning and practicing until finally, one day I made a pen that I felt was 'good enough' to pass my own personal quality test. I made pens for our church family, our respective family members, friends and eventually ran out of people to give them to! People kept saying to me "You really should sell these!"...so here I am. I still spend hours in my shop, working on new designs and styles and I am loving it! I do take special requests--just ask!
